Description

A peristaltic pump, also commonly known as a roller pump, is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing. A rotor with rollers attached to the outside of the rotor compresses the flexible tube and pushes fluid through the line. As the tube returns to its natural shape after the roller passes, more fluid is drawn into the pump. This peristaltic action allows continuous pumping or indexed dosing for smaller measured amounts.
