GCF1700.16.12.12 is the 16 x 12 x 12 inch chamber variant from Across International's GCF1700 controlled atmosphere muffle furnace series. The live Across page describes this series as using Mitsubishi (Japan) high-quality alumina fiber insulation and MoSi2 heating elements in a double-walled steel housing to minimize heat loss.

The furnace is controlled by a Eurotherm or Shimaden multi-segment digital controller with built-in communications port and USB adapter for PC-based remote control, monitoring, and export of test results. Across also notes that multiple atmosphere processes can be carried out in one cycle, such as binder burn-out in air followed by sintering under rough vacuum or inert gas.
