CF1200.16.12.12 is the 16 x 12 x 12 inch chamber version of Across International's CF1200 benchtop muffle furnace series. The live Across page describes this series as using Kanthal (Sweden) spiral wire coils embedded in Mitsubishi (Japan) high-quality alumina fiber insulation inside a double-walled steel housing to reduce heat loss.

Furnace operation is controlled by a Eurotherm or Shimaden digital controller with built-in communications port and USB adapter for PC-based remote control, monitoring, and export of test results. Across also lists controller options ranging from the standard Eurotherm 3204 8-segment programmer to the optional 3504 50-segment programmer.
